After a successful career at both MOC-FV High School
and Northwestern College, BJ went on to coach and teach
at the high school level for nine years. Desiring to
work with basketball players on a more specific and
individual level, BJ established the BEST Shooting school
in 1994. With its emphasis on individual attention and
fundamentals, BEST is one of the fastest growing basketball
fundamental programs in the nation and now instructs
over 3000 students each year, ranging from elementary
students to NBA players. BJ also continues to speak
at numerous camps and clinics in both the Unites States
and around the world. His enthusiasm for the development
of players remains the same whether he is working with
a middle school student or a member of the 2008 Chinese
Olympic Basketball teams!! BJ and his wife Denise have
two sons, Kyler and Keegan.
Some of BJ's more accomplished students include Kyle
Korver -

One of the greatest pure shooters in Iowa history, Craig
starred on two state title teams at MOC-FV High School
while breaking state and school records from beyond
the arc. He then took his game to Northwestern College
where he was a two-time All-American and is the career
leader in three-point field goals. Craig is currently
the head coach at Carroll High School in Carroll, Iowa,
where he took the Tigers to the state tournament in
his first year at the helm. His previous South O’Brien
teams also corralled numerous district and conference
championships. Well-known for his off-season workouts
as a player, Craig understands the importance of discipline
and hard work to become a great shooter and basketball
player. His ability to get the BEST from his players
has made him an effective coach, teacher, and instructor.
Craig and his wife Jen have three sons, Tanner, Brayton,
and Tagen.
